Description

IT'S BACK!!  Come and join our lovely Mexican Educator Mariana for a fabulous afternoon learning some traditional Mexican crafts to celebrate the "Dia de los Muertos" (Day of the Dead).

Dia de los Muertos is a joyful holiday traditionally celebrated on November 1st or 2nd and involves people gathering to pay respects to remember family & friends that have died. Celebrations are often humorous with people sharing funny stories about the departed.

Traditional crafts include:

- colourful home altars called "ofrendas"

- "calaveras" (sugar skulls made from air dry clay)

We will be making our own gorgeous crafty versions that will make fabulous additions to your Halloween decor! (Yep, we're shamelessly mixing up our holidays)  You will take home your very own Family Ofrenda to decorate with photographs of your deceased loved ones every year. Start a new tradition!

The workshop is for ages 6+ and their families & PERFECT FOR YOU & YOUR CRAFTY TWEEN OR TEEN

THIS WORKSHOP IS DESIGNED FOR PARENTS & CHILDREN/ TEENS TO ATTEND TOGETHER
