SEW + CRAFT FRO KIDS, TEENS & ADULTS! AGES 8+ (perfect for tweens, teens & parents can join in too!)
A fun crafty class for those who'd like to learn basic sewing & crafting skills.
Join Penelope our fabulous Educator and real life Fashion Designer (@penelopereddesigns penelopered.com.au) to:
CREATE simple hand-sewn crafts (eg a "softie" toy)
LEARN the basics of machine sewing (how to thread a machine, sew straight seams etc)
MAKE a beginner project on the machine (eg purse, small cushion cover)
CRAFT some attractive simple projects (eg simple embroidery)
UPCYCLE a piece of old clothing and use your new skills to embellish it with trims, fabric paint etc
Suitable for ages 8+
Perfect for tweens & teenagers and as a Parent & Big Kid activity
NO sewing skills required! For absolute beginners!
4 brand new sewing machines supplied but we encourage you to bring your own if you wish to learn how to use it. (please don't forget your foot pedal & cord)
Most materials supplied but you will need to supply a pre-loved garment for upcyling (eg denim jacket, skirt)

Parking is usually available in Hooper street (East & West), Gilderthorpe avenue and nearby Roberts Ave.

Refund & Cancellation Policy
PLEASE CHECK THE BOOKING DATE CAREFULLY AS WE CANNOT REFUND / ACCOMMODATE YOU IF YOU TURN UP ON THE INCORRECT DAY
In case of class cancellation due to COVID-19 (Corona Virus) outbreaks, public health orders or shutdowns, credit notes will be issued.
Make up classes or credit notes are not offered for missed classes if an attendee needs to self-isolate.
Credit notes may be used towards any programs within 3 years of issue. Credit notes for term classes are only offered when cancelling before the commencement of term. Refunds, credits or make-up classes for missed classes are not offered. Missed activities (eg clay) will not be repeated because of a missed class. Credit notes for School Holiday programs are not offered if cancelling because you change your mind or your child is ill. Credit notes cannot be used towards party packages. Credit notes for school holiday programs are only offered if you cancel more than 14 days prior.
LGS accepts no responsibility for after school classes missed because after care services (OOSH) were not notified via the proper channels. After care services cannot release your child to art class without specific parent permission.
Missed Read, Make + Play classes will not be refunded. Make up classes for missed R,M +P classes are not offered.

ONLY CHILDREN 5yo+ MAY ATTEND OUR SCHOOL HOLIDAY PROGRAMS
Little Ginger Studio reserves the right to change and / or cancel advertised programming at any time. LGS reserves the right to cancel a student's enrolment without notice if their behaviour is too disruptive to ensure the safety & enjoyment of other students. Students must be picked up from class and cannot be released alone except via prior arrangement (eg. sms / email from parent). Photography permission for social media / website / advertising is requested at time of booking and includes photo release permission to publish images as part of guest blogs on artfulparent.com. At no time will your child's name be published. LGS reserves the right to employ fewer than advertised staff if enrolments are low. Students and parents are responsible for picking up any artworks if the last class of the term is missed. Leftover artworks will not be stored for longer than a term. Parents are responsible for communicating any student special needs to LGS prior to day of workshop / class and supplying adequate medicines & treatment plans if needed. This may include for example: asthma puffers, antihistamines, Epipens. Please do not send your child to a class if they are unwell. LGS will endeavour to provide a safe environment at all times - however, from time to time we may use materials that can cause minor injuries (scissors, hot glue guns, hobby electrics, paper cuts!). Parents retain ultimate responsibility for deciding whether their child is mature enough to partake in certain activities. Please do not book your child into a workshop you think they will struggle with. Students should also accept some personal responsibility for sensible use of materials. Please be assured all effort will be taken to ensure your child is happy, well and enjoys their art making experience!
